# CUT
Self-reflected 3-channel-Video Installation inspired by Rabindranath Tagore’s text.
„ Let me think that there is one among those stars that guides my life through the dark unknown.“
Weimar, 2020
There was a Tumor.
Since almost 10 years it has be- come part of me. I was used to it and ignored it until I met a friend. It was 4,1 x 4,8 x 7,3 (ap x Ir x cc) in October 2019.
It kept growing.
„Do I still have time for myself, hearing what’s inside me?“, „Am I afraid of death?“ became the questions and the thoughts of this work. I put my MRT-examine in this work and turned them into short loops, as a reminder of the feeling while I was alone there in the capsule. Also as a sign of SOS flames on the unknown is- land with hope that someone will see it and come to help. For me, everything has its cy- cle. Maybe sometimes it will be out of its route, but it will get back to where it belongs eventually. A round, cycling, repeating but not-always-the- same noise. The sound in this video is based on this thought, has some parts of scratches, but it could still be recognised.
This project turned out to be a not really poe- tic film, but an intimate diary.
The Tumor was removed on 27th April 2020 in Bad Berka Zentral Klinikum, Germany.
