About

FangSheng Chou was born in Taipei, Taiwan, since 2017 she lives in Germany. After finishing her Master in Media Art and Design at Bauhaus Universität Weimar with a focus on Film and Photography, she works now as an interdisciplinary visual artist.
Since 2018 she is the member of FLUT-Magazin.

Her work centres around politics and subcultures. Various mediums such as photography and video build the basis for an ongoing exploration of human rights issues and taboos. These include for example LGBTQ+ communities, NGO’s, erotica and migrations. In summary: She shows what people don’t like to see, what people don’t see at first glance and what people don’t like to discuss. Fuck China
